You can be a member.

If you live, work, worship or attend school in Jackson, George or Greene counties in Mississippi, as well as most of Mobile and Baldwin counties in Alabama, you are eligible for membership in Singing River Federal Credit Union. If you are a Singing River Federal member in good standing, your spouse, children, parents, siblings, grandparents and in-laws are also eligible for membership.

As a member, you're an owner.

Singing River Federal Credit Union is member owned. Volunteers, who are members, make up the board of directors. Members have the right to vote for these volunteers that govern the credit union.

Singing River Federal Credit Union is not driven by profit and doesn't have to answer to stockholders. We are driven to help you reach your financial goals through lower loan rates, higher deposit rates and customized products and services.

Singing River Federal Credit Union is a community of strength. Our deposits are insured through the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the federal government. We've been serving the people of south Mississippi and Alabama for more than 56 years, and we're here for you.

Ready to start?

The application process is quick and easy. Visit any Singing River Federal branch and speak with a Member Services Representative. You'll need to bring the following:

  • Valid, government-issued ID (driver's license, passport, military ID)
  • Verification of social security number (social security card, or it must appear on one of the valid, government-issued forms listed above)
  • $10 deposit or payroll deduction form (can be filled out at the branch)
  • If you are joining through a family member, you will need a letter from that family member which states his/her name, relationship to you, phone number and his/her signature.
