ABOUT SRFCU

Mississippi and Alabama’s Local, Member-Focused Credit Union

Singing River Federal Credit Union was organized in 1953 by the employees of International Paper’s Southern Craft Mill in Moss Point, Mississippi, as a fair-rate financial cooperative. What began as a small, member-focused institution has grown into a trusted financial partner for more than 28,000 members, with over $230 million in assets.

Many people ask about the origin of our name. Singing River Federal Credit Union was founded on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where the “Singing River” has a long and meaningful history. We believe an organization’s history matters, and we’re proud to share the story behind the Singing River and its place in our region.

WHERE BANKING MEETS COMMMUNITY

The SRFCU Family

The SRFCU family is deeply committed to the communities we serve. While it would be impossible to highlight every effort, our team is actively involved in organizations and initiatives such as the Mayor’s Advisory Council, economic development committees, Make-A-Wish Foundation, United Way, local volunteer fire departments, MGCCC curriculum review, Kiwanis, and the Boys and Girls Club.

From coaching youth sports and running local 5K races to supporting food pantries and organizing Soles 4 Souls shoe drives, our employees are engaged beyond the branch. Serving our members goes hand in hand with serving our communities.

We are proud to be Where Banking Meets Community.
