Protect Yourself From Fraud

  • Never share your PIN, password, or secure codes with anyone—not even someone claiming to be from SRFCU.
  • Don’t trust caller ID alone—scammers can “spoof” numbers to look official.
  • If someone call you from a business and anything feels off, especially if you’re pressured to act quickly or provide personal info, hang up and call the business directly through an official number.
  • Never click on links or open attachments in unexpected emails or texts, even if they mention your account.
  • Be especially cautious with unfamiliar requests for money, gift cards, or sensitive information, even if the caller sounds like a loved one (AI voice scams can mimic familiar voices).
  • When in doubt, talk to a trusted friend or family member before taking action.
